Final thoughts for 2008:
- Be safe tonight. Don’t drink and drive. It would be a terrible way to start 2009 in jail and with higher auto premiums.
- Commit to starting 2009 out with a written risk management plan. That way you will have a better chance of being happy this time next year.
- My commitment is to be a more consistent blogger. I guess that’s my resolution. Keep me honest!
My very best to all of you for a happy, healthy, and safe new year. Here’s hoping you slide in ahead of the tag all of 2009!

Does your company provide a Health Savings Account (HSA) for your employees? Maybe you’re an owner or an employee who has an HSA. I’ve had my own HSA as a sole practitioner consultant for the past 2-plus years. Today, I learned that the allowable amount to contribute to your HSA goes up to $3,000 in 2009.
In 2008, the maximum amount was $2,900. With a couple days left in the year, you should check to see how much you’ve contributed to date and make a last second contribution to max it out if you can.

Road Rage, Aggressive Driving…whatever you want to call it. It is a reality during this time of year when everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere. You will find it in mall and post office parking lots, highways, and even local streets. How can you avoid being a victim?

Be safe out there!

Very good article that was posted on the local NBC affiliate’s web site here in Seattle. Since the Puget Sound is getting dumped on, I thought I would share this with you. No snickering from Arizona and Florida, okay?

I was recently interviewed by a journalist on homeowners basics. Are you wondering how your insurance works? Click here to read more…

Have you heard about Twitter? It’s a micro-blogging site. Basically what that means is it’s a miniature blog - 140 characters or less. I just started in with my insurance consulting “handle”. Follow my insurance micro-blogs on Twitter at www.twitter.com/insurancego2guy.
Cheers,
